Independent, self-funded research initiative based in London focused on adversarial systems, computational finance, political economy, and AI alignment.
Organizational Structure
This is not a registered charity or company; it is a one-person research project publishing open datasets, software, and preprints.
Mission
Farzulla Research conducts independent research at the intersection of quantitative finance, political economy, and artificial intelligence. We build working systems that demonstrate novel approaches to governance alignment, financial modeling, and adversarial systems analysis, emphasizing reproducibility, open source tooling, and practical implementation.
Governance-focused research is conducted through Dissensus, a governance alignment research lab exploring multi-agent dynamics, consent frameworks, and institutional design.
Research Focus Areas
Adversarial Systems
Multi-agent dynamics, consent frameworks, friction analysis in complex systems
Quantitative Finance
Market microstructure analysis, regulatory event studies, volatility modeling
Political Economy
Legitimacy quantification, stakeholder consent vs technocratic competence
AI Alignment
Multi-agent systems with competing objectives, substrate-independent collaboration
Research Infrastructure
Kubernetes-native compute clusters, distributed systems for AI research. Technical infrastructure at Resurrexi.
Research Philosophy
- Build First: Working prototypes demonstrate feasibility before formal publication
- Open Source: Code, methodologies, and datasets released publicly where possible
- Independence: Research direction determined by interesting problems, not funding requirements
- Reproducibility: Documentation-first approach ensures replicability
Open Science Policies
All research outputs comply with OpenAIRE Guidelines for open access and FAIR data principles:
- All research outputs publicly accessible via Zenodo repository with DOI assignment
- CC-BY 4.0 licensing (default) for publications
- Open source software releases (MIT/Apache licenses)
- Standardized metadata following OpenAIRE requirements
- ORCID integration for author identification (0009-0002-7164-8704)
- Research data management aligned with European infrastructure standards

Governance
All research direction, project selection, funding decisions, and operational matters are determined by Murad Farzulla as the sole researcher and steward of this project. This charter serves as internal governance documentation for the research activity.
Future Development
Current focus includes the Dissensus governance alignment research lab, with ongoing conversations with UCL supervisors regarding doctoral research in agent-based modeling and econometric analysis of multi-agent systems. Should collaborators join in the future, governance may be restructured accordingly.
